Centre Stage Academy Theatre School-Examinations

The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) is one of the oldest Drama schools in the UK and began offering examinations to the public in the 1880’s.

In addition to being the UK’s largest speech and drama awarding body LAMDA examinations have a reputation for excellence worldwide. Centre Stage Academy students have the opportunity to take examinations and gain recognised certificates/qualifications and higher level examinations count towards UCAS points. Students may be entered for examinations in groups, pairs and individually in the following subjects:

•Acting

•Devising Drama

•Mime

•Musical Theatre

•Verse and Prose

Coaching for examinations is in addition to academy sessions and students will usually require 4-6 hours coaching which is on an hourly basis each week prior to examination.

Costs Involved

•Each hourly session is charged at £25.00

•Students entering in pairs or groups will divide the hourly coaching fee between the pair or group.

•An administration fee of £10.00 is charged to each student entering an examination
